Step 5: Setting up your Course Site

NYU Brightspace is the University’s learning management system (LMS). Instructors can use this service to design full-featured online course environments for the participants of their class. Participants may access course materials, collaborate with others, engage with interactive assessments and assignments, and track their progress in a course gradebook.

The following support articles provide instructions for creating your course site(s), scheduling Zoom Meetings (for remote/hybrid classes if needed), and scheduling Panopto lecture recordings (for in-person classes). You can find additional guides for each tool in under their respective category on the main Support website homepage (https://support.nyulaw.online/)

  1. Creating Course Sites and Enrolling Section Rosters
  2. Building a course site (Express Method)
  3. Scheduling a Zoom meeting in NYU Brightspace
  4. Scheduling Class Recordings in Panopto

If you would like to schedule a consultation for course site design best practices or discuss specific use cases not covered in the support articles, please Contact Us.
